Dear Rotaractors, friends and guests,
Our next official event will be an Escape Room event. Let's strengthen our team spirit and solve some nice puzzels and see if we can free ourselves from the Escape Room.
We will have 2 missions there:
- One is a duel for 12 people (6 against 6)
- One is a normal escape room for 6 people
Hence, this event is limited to 18 persons in total.
The cost will be CHF 20 per person, please bring the amount in cash on that day.
Here is a description of the 2 games we will be playing:
1) Jack the Rapper: Jack the Rapper is touring Europe. In the morning after one of his concerts he wakes up in a strange room. He doesn’t know where he is nor how he got there. The only thing he could find is half of his ticket for a train that leaves in 90 minutes. He can’t remember where he wanted to go nor what he is supposed to do next. Can you help him find the second half of his ticket in time? - this game is in a heated room
2) Treasure hunt of the Mafia boss: Just before the famous mafia boss, Ivan the Rich, was arrested, he had managed to hide his treasure in a super secure safe and protect it with a complicated code. Recently, Ivan has died in prison and could no longer reveal the secret code to anyone. Meanwhile, many have tried to crack the code, but so far without success. Will you be the first one to make it? - this game will be in an unheated place
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE SIGN-UP
As you see, we have 2 rooms booked. We can cancel one room the Friday before. This means you have to register by Thursday 24th January at midnight! So that we can cancel the room for 6 people, should we not be that many people.
This registration is binding - so that means if you write your name in the Doodle by Thursday 24th of January and for some reason you cannot come on Tuesday, you will either have to find a replacement person on your own resposibility or pay the CHF 20 otherwise.
Should there be 13-15 persons registered when we close the Doodle, we will cancel the second room, which means the lastly registered people (no. 13-15) cannot take part. From 16+ participants onwards, we will book also the second room.
These Escape Rooms are quite expensive and we are a charitable club, who should use the money on its bank account to donate it to a good cause and not pay for any invoices for "fun". So we hope that you understand these a bit more stringent measures and call for your reliability and dependability.
INFORMATION FOR THE DAY
For those of you, who have never played an escape room before, it is important to mention that you need no physical, but only mental power, for the game, as the game will only consist of puzzles and codes to solve. The adrenalin comes from the time pressure of having to solve all the puzzles within 90 minutes. However, if you are very claustrophobic, the game might not be the right thing for you.
Nevertheless, we recommend you to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
The game will be in English.
The game starts at 18:45h sharp, so you need to be there at 18:30h to hear some instructions before the game.
