Dear Rotaractors, friends and guests,
As already envisaged, we will kick-off with our new social project at the Animal Shelter!
Now we have the green light and the concrete tasks ready for you.
We will be at the Animal Shelter on November 17th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm to assist them with a series of tasks:
- Prepare documents /brochures for shipments (bundling, wrapping etc.)
- Assisting in tiding up: carrying downstairs heavy boxes from the archive without lift (this is a task for our strong guys to replace the gym!!!)
- Assembling feeding toys for guinea pigs and bunnies (cutting vegetables, collecting hazel in the forest, assemble the toys and feed the animals)
- Clean the windows in the cat rooms
So there will be a variety of tasks, some require a bit more physical power and some a little bit less, so I hope there is something for everyone.
Before the hands-on tasks, we will have a 30 minute tour and introduction on the shelter and its work.
The day is limited to 8 participants, so please sign up early!
If this event goes well, we will continue to do this regularly.
Please be reminded that in order to remain or become a club member, you need at least one social point per half year, so this is a great opportunity to get your point before the Christmas stress starts :)
